Every year the Festival wishes to attract talents capable of settling on the best of the best of short films. This year we introduce a jury composed of members from different walks of life.


Marianne DenicourtMarianne Denicourt (France)
Actress, director and screenwriter.

Marianne Denicourt debuts on screen in Robert Bresson’s L’Argent.
She studied theatre under the direction of Patrice Chéreau at the Ecole des Amandiers in Nanterre.
She works with Patrice Chéreau on three occasions: on screen in Hôtel de France, on stage in Platonov and at the Festival d’Avignon where she plays Ophelie in Hamlet.
She then devoted herself to cinema and filmed with Jacques Doillon , Benoit Jacquot, Michel Deville ,Claude Lelouch, Jacques Rivette, Arnaud Desplechin. Romain Goupil, Raoul Ruiz, Claude Lelouch, Thomas Lilti.
She is also the director of two documentaries: Une Maison à Kaboul and Nassima ,une Vie Confisquée.

danny lennonDanny Lennon (Québec)

In 1999, Danny Lennon launched ‘Prends ça court!’, which celebrates and supports short films from around the world, as well as Québécois cinema. He remains the programmer to this day. He is also the programmer and driving force of the Talent tout court initiative, established in 2012 in collaboration with Téléfilm Canada. Lennon contributes in every way possible to the promotion, distribution, airing and production of independent and professional short films on an international level. Lennon also organises the Gala Prix Prends ça court! , the biggest night of the year for Québec short films, whose 15th edition was a tremendous success! As Basta would say: « My rogue feet were made to trample kings ».

Babak Karimi Babak Karimi (Italian-Iranian)

Its relevance is in Italy, Iran. Winner ex equo of the Silver Bear at the Berlin festival as best actor for the film « Una Separazione » by Asghar Farhadi (Oscar for best foreign film 2012) with whom he also collaborated for « The Past » and « The Salesman » (Best Oscar foreign film 2017). He collaborated with Shahram Mokri for Fish & Cat and Incasion, Mattia Torre “La Linea Verticale », Roberto Andò « Una Storia Senza Nome ».

Chantal FischerChantal Fischer (French)

After having been responsible for public policies (PACA, Franche-Comté), Chantal Fischer is currently producer in 13 productions, where she develops projects of cinema and television fiction.
She is also in charge of artistic matters at Cinefeel Prod. A private investment fund.

Massimo IannettaMassimo Iannetta (Brussels)

Massimo Iannetta studied filmmaking at INSAS (Brussels). As a director, he has also worked on the screenplay of several documentaries, has been a programmer for the Filmer à tout Prix festival (Brussels) and has, among other things, directed the Atelier de Production (Brussels). He is co-director, with Nina Toussaint, of the film « La Décomposition de l’âme ».

Fred PremelFred Premel (France)

After almost scientific studies, he obtained a master’s degree in film studies in Rennes, near Liffré. He started on the set where he formed as a burglar and then became production manager. He then served as executive producer, then founded Tita Productions in Marseille where he remained for 10 years, until he was really fed up with municipal decisions.The company produces rather cool French films, and engages on international co-productions, mainly with Latin America. In 2016, it was one of the 15 most active French film production companies.In 2016, it creates a second company, TITA B, but this time in Brittany, to get closer to gulls. In 2020, he plans to create TITA C, in Corsica or Costa Rica.

MARICETTA LOMBARDOMaricetta Lombardo (Italian)
Sound engineer

Trained at the ‘Centro Sperimentale di Cinematorgrafia’ in Rome.Winner of two David di  onatello with Gomorra and Dogman de Matteo Garrone and four Nastri d’Argento with Gomorra, Il racconto dei racconti, Dogman by Matteo Garrone and The Intruder by Leonardo Di Costanzo. She has also worked with Abbas Kiarostami, Emir Kusturika, Daniele Segre, Stefano Sollima, Marcos Jorge, the brothers D’Innocenzo, Edoardo Gabriellini, Pblo Trapero and Janus Metz.


From the age of 10 he is passionate about the 7th Art.
He evacuates his grandmother’s henhouse – transformed into a cinema with super 8 projector – with a program of Vittorio De Sica’s ‘Bicycle Thief’ and Fritz Lang’s ‘Bengal Tiger’.
In his teens he went to the Alger Film Club and then to the Bordeaux and Lyon Film Club.
In 1981 at La Ciotat he founded – with Jean-Louis Tixier and Albert Audy – the Berceau du Cinéma.
From 1982 to 2013 he participated in the battle for the rescue of the EDEN.
In 2018 he joins the team of the Best Of International Short Films Festival

Babak Karimi is an Iranian actor. He was introduced to cinema at an early age as his father was also a filmmaker. Years later he moved to Italy where he took to the job of camera operator. He has since then collaborated with great directors such as Asghar Fahradi with whom he has already directed three movies.

Festival Manager

With a passion for the image, Gaëlle Rodeville studied cinema at La Sorbonne, earning a Masters degree. After working on several film festivals in diverse occupations, she entered the team of the Aubagne International Film Festival in 1999 and became its general manager in 2003.

President of the Association of Directors of Tunisian Films

Mokhtar Ladjimi is a Tunisian director and screenwriter graduated from IDHEC.
Among his many accomplishments are documentaries Colonial Cinema (Doc-1997), Thousand and One Oriental Dances (Doc-1999), and The Orient of Coffees (Doc-2000) …

Cultural Manager

Expert in communication, marketing, cultural events and organisms management, she teaches at multiple schools between Montreal and Brussels. She is a consultant in funding strategies and developed the Quebec of the crowdfunding platform kisskissbankbank.com.
